To help Alberta families avoid financial crisis, Direct Energy and the United Way of Calgary and Area and the United Way of Alberta Capital Region have partnered in a $500,000 joint-initiative focused on supporting at-risk Albertans with overdue utility bills to avoid disconnection by providing access to United Way partner resources and support they may be eligible for.
Albertans can access the Direct Energy Emergency Fund by dialing 211, a free, confidential and multilingual system available 24-hours a day.
